Greetings from Kauai, Hawaii! LOML & I are currently in beautiful Kauai. We’ve been here since Wednesday and are having a lovely time. The island is very relaxing and green. :) It’s been awfully humid though which I guess is not the norm for this time of the year. :)

Today I am 24 weeks. I guess that puts me in the “viability” stage of the pregnancy. Our little boy seems to be enjoying himself in Hawaii as well since he’s been kicking a lot more lately. Usually, he makes himself known when I sit down for a meal or when I am about to go to sleep. :) LOML is able to feel his kicks a lot more now which is cool. We’ve been going through names and though LOML still has 2 more name books to go through he seems pretty happy with Jack so far. We’re still running through some middle name options but hopefully we’ll get that settled before we head home.

Overall, we’re taking it pretty easy. We toured the island the last few days checking out Waimea Canyon and some of the other parts of the island. Our hotel is on the North Shore – Hanalei to be exact. It’s pretty out here. LOML has been doing some snorkeling while “Jack” & I have been lounging on the beach. The pool has been nice and takes some of the pressure of my ever expanding belly. :) I have been experiencing a bit more swelling in my hands and feet but nothing too trouble-some. I figure it’s all part of the deal and if it means I get to hold my healthy happy baby boy at the end of it all I’ll gladly deal with it all.

Other than that, we’re just taking it easy. I am doing a bit more walking which is good. I feel out of shape though since I get winded so easily and have to pee like every 5 minutes. I swear at this point in time I probably have visited nearly every bathroom in Kauai. :) Also, the clumsiness has taken more form in the fact that I keep spilling, dropping, dumping stuff on myself. I don’t think I manage to make it through a meal without ruining a shirt or pair of pants. :)

In any case, not sure what we have on tap for tomorrow. We’ll see. We head out on Wednesday for Maui which will be fun. We’ve been there before so that will be nice. All righty, going to put my feet up for a little while and try some cold compresses for my left swollen hand (I had to stop wearing my engagement ring since it wouldn’t fit anymore! I still wear my wedding band though so it’s ok). It’s not super sowllen – it just feels a little fatter than normal.
